Ugh, same here! I had two packages stolen last week. The management told me to “install a camera” if I want to stop it. Like, why am I paying HOA fees if they’re not gonna do anything? I think they just don’t want to deal with it.

Most people will tell you three bids is the standard. I find that it depends on the type of job and where you are. Associations in small cities, for example, might not have a big pool of options. So it depends on you.

Our manager only does accounting and administrative stuff and we pay him about 2 grand a month but we only have like 50-60 homes..

I haven’t been going but my husband has and he says this was put in place about a year ago. Apparently, our attorney just “forgot” to indicate this on the estoppel. What’s unfair about this is that only new homeowners are required to pay the $1500. Old homeowners don’t have to pay it since the decision was made after they had already bought their homes.
