There’s a guy in my community who has a disabled parking spot and claims to be blind, but I’ve seen him looking at his phone and even waving at people from across the street. I don’t want to accuse anyone unfairly, but if he’s faking it, should I report him to the HOA?

Whoa, that’s a serious accusation. Disabilities aren’t always obvious. He might have partial vision, or maybe he’s using assistive technology. I’d think twice before getting involved.

Unless he’s actively violating HOA rules (which he probably isn’t), this isn’t really an HOA issue. Even if you think he’s faking, the HOA has no authority over disability claims. If he has the proper documentation for his parking spot, there’s nothing you can do.
