Question:
My association fees have risen over 30% in the past two years. Is this legal in the state of Oregon? Is there a cap on a yearly percentage increase in Oregon for condo association fees?
Thank you for your response,
– Jacqueline
Answer:
Hi Jacqueline,
Oregon law currently does not place a limit on how much an HOA may increase its fees annually. That being said, make sure to check your governing documents to see if they place a cap on fee increases. Keep in mind that HOAs can generally raise dues by as much as it needs to meet the annual budget.
