Question:
Our HOA Management company has recently acquired a new condominium complex and the community has not yet formed a board of directors. Question…what information and or documentation can we provide them to help them setup their board of directors? Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Scott,
The condominium complex should have its own governing documents if it already has an association in place. Its bylaws should contain information on how to elect board members. If the community doesn’t have governing documents yet, it is necessary to draft them with the help of a lawyer.
