Question:
Do you offer help in reviving a suspended HOA Entity?
– Yesenia
Answer:
Hi Yesenia,
You may resolve the suspension by filing the appropriate tax returns and paying delinquent tax balances if your HOA was suspended for tax reasons. If it was suspended because the HOA failed to file the Statements of Information with the Secretary of State, kindly file the appropriate forms and pay any fees immediately. If the HOA lost its name, the Secretary of State will require membership approval.
After resolving the problems, the state will issue a “Notice of Revivor.” However, if your association has been suspended for over 48 months, the Secretary of State may have dissolved your HOA. You may need to reincorporate the association.
