Proof of Ownership for Mailboxes

Question:

I’m the VP of our HOA. We are replacing our aging mailboxes. What proof of ownership is needed to handout new keys for our new mailbox slots?

– Steven

Answer:

Hi Steven,

You may ask for a government-issued ID and the deed/title, lease agreement, or utility bill as proof of ownership and identity. You may also cross-examine the information with the HOA’s records. For further guidance, kindly ask your HOA management company or an HOA attorney.
