Noise Complaint from a Tenant in Florida

Question:

I am a renter in a Condo community. I have a severe noise problem with adjoining neighbors who can’t comprehend the problem. The landlord has been notified as well as the management company and HOA president. Each says it’s not their job to intervene. Whose job is it anyway? I have documentation supporting when it happens. Thanks

Answer:

Hi,

Kindly refer to the HOA’s governing documents to see whether they have rules regarding noise or nuisances. If so, kindly raise this with your neighbors or the HOA board. You may also check your lease agreement with the landlord to see whether it has any provisions about how to handle noise complaints.
