Is it legal for a condo owner to rent out the unit they own? Our condo assoc. has some renters, but now they’re (the board) trying to tell us that anyone who buys a condo after Aug. 4, 2004 cannot rent out the unit they purchased. Anyone who owns a condo before that date can continue to rent out the unit they own. This is discriminating against new owners?
