Question:
My HOA gave me a 9-day notice of a price increase and that increase is more than 40%. I thought HOA’s were required by law to give a 30-day notice of price increases and those prices increases were not to exceed 40%

Answer:
Hi Sharon,
Florida law currently does not place a limitation on dues increases among homeowners associations. That said, your governing documents might say otherwise. Check your CC&Rs to see if there is a limit to how much your board can raise dues and what the notice requirements are.
