HUD Regulating Rental Homes in HOAs

Currently, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is not the designated governing agency for HOAs and POAs. That said, HUD is a federal body, and if it reached out to your HOA about rental homes, you should follow its directive. You should also check the laws your state, as well as your governing documents, to find out about more specific regulations regarding rental homes. As of writing, Pennsylvania does not have restrictions concerning HOA rentals.
