My parents recently moved to a neighborhood with an HOA. We have looked it up and it shows that it was dissolved in 2017. Where can we find out for sure.

You may check the local county recorder’s office for any documents filed or recorded under the HOA’s name, such as CC&Rs and bylaws. You can also ask the seller or the seller’s agent who sold your parents the home. Another way is to ask the neighbors to confirm whether there is an HOA currently active.
