Question:
Our board has 4 members. 2 board member approved a motion. Do we need a third board member to approve the motion for it to pass? The motion was made over 3 months ago.

Answer:
Hi Karen,
Generally, motions or resolutions are passed through a vote. How many votes are required to pass one depends on your association’s bylaws. More often than not, they require a majority vote of approval from the board. But, it is still best to check your governing documents to make sure.
