Question:
I purchased an older condo. The hoa provides water and trash pick up. The community has actually gone down. A $300/month Hoa for water is rather ridiculous. Outside maintenance and repairs are being neglected. Retaliation is done when you ask about upkeep issues. The area has really decreased because of not keeping up with repairs. Bare minimum is done for landscaping. I can walk my own trash and can never use that much water in a 900 sq ft place with no washer and dryer. $300 for what? Is there anything that can be done?

Answer:
Hi Mia,
You may raise the issue at a board meeting or call a special meeting according to the procedure outlined in the governing documents. If this does not work, you may opt to remove the problem board member(s) to ensure the community is well-kept. The governing documents may also outline the procedure for removal.
