Technically, in Florida, there is no limit as to how much an HOA can increase dues. The board generally has the ability to raise dues by as much as it needs to meet the budget. That being said, make sure to check your CC&Rs to see if your association’s own documents limit dues increases. If you would like to know where the money is going, you could request your HOA to supply you with its financial records.
