Is a voluntary HOA Transition Committee totally autonomous? What interaction\reporting do they have to the Board of Directors?

Hi Steve,
It depends on your governing documents. Your association’s bylaws or CC&Rs should be able to tell you what the obligations of the committee are and whether they answer to the HOA board. Generally speaking, though, committees assist the board with the community’s operations. In that sense, committees do have to interact and report to the board.
