Question:
We just had our hoa elections and I received the highest votes, but the board is refusing to accept the electoral results, In the candidate form I stated I was running for the president position and the homeowners voted for me, can the board object to this?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Answer:
Hi Alma,
The board generally can’t object to or not follow the election results unless it has a valid reason to do so. The board must follow the association’s rules.
