Question:
Our board of directors cannot come together on a parking vote agreement. My question is: Can the directors cast an anonymous vote to the manager or is it required that a director name be attached to the vote, yea or nay?
What is the Civil Code that defines whether or not a directors name has to be recorded with their vote regarding community decisions or issues?

Answer:
A voice vote is typically the most common form of voting for board decisions. A show of hands is also common. Votes that require secret balloting can be found underĀ Civil Code Section 5100.
