Question:
Our HOA documents do not state what the maximum annual increase is for dues. Is this allowed? I can’t anything SC state laws.

Answer:
Hi Diane,
South Carolina law currently does not limit dues increases in homeowners associations. While some HOAs may have limits provided within their governing documents, others do not. It seems that your HOA belongs to the latter. It is not illegal for an HOA to not specify a limit within their documents. That simply means that there is no limit imposed.
