Question:
Are HOA boards required by law to announce when their board meetings are or is it only that residents have a right to attend but boards don’t have to disclose meeting schedules?

Answer:
Section 23-17-10-5 of the Indiana Nonprofit Corporation Act requires corporations to provide meeting notices to members in a fair and reasonable manner. If your HOA is organized as a nonprofit, which most HOAs are, then this section applies to you. Additionally, your own bylaws may have requirements that speak to meeting notices.
