Our HOA would like to restrict and/or eliminate all rental properties from our neighborhood. How do we go about doing that? Are there processes or steps we need to follow?

Hi Steve,
If your HOA would like to add rental restrictions, you must amend your governing documents. The requirements and procedures can be found under Section 32-25.5-3-9 of the Indiana Homeowners Associations Act (for HOAs) or Section 32-25-7-7 of the Indiana Condominium Act (for condominiums). Your CC&Rs may also contain guidelines and requirements for amendments.
